Help please!

My JCP has just fed and has got some bark stuck in her mouth afterwards, normally she can dislodge it but this time it's completely in her mouth.

Anyone else had a similar situation and what did you do?

depends on how bad it is stuck have you tried to remove it with tongs?

No big deal. It happens to all of my snakes from time to time.

If you can't get it out with tweezers or your fingers let it be. It won't hurt them.

Think about it, if their system will handle bones and teeth, some bark is a walk in the park. :)

Unless of course the bark is propping the mouth open.

Haven't tried removing it yet as usually she can dislodge it and didn't want to disturb her too much after a large meal, will see how she is tomorrow morning and if no change I will try to do so.

I think this is spot on!

Impacted substrate is rare.

They ingest this stuff in the wild, however we don't really know how they do in the wild. There is a high mortality rate in the wild VS captivity.

Keep an eye on things, but as stated, these guys can eat WHOLE animals with big bones.

Lower your stress levels.
