    Dumeril's boa information.
Hi there. My boyfriend has recently become very interested in Dumeril's Boas. He had asked me to post a status in a snake education group on Facebook, but for some reason, the admins never approved it. So now I'm here. Any little tid bit on Dumeril's boas pretty please. I.e. Personality traits, ideal environment, handling, etc. anything and everything helps. Thanks guys. (:

(There's also this fb group called "Dumeril's boa lovers" that you can join, if that's not the same group)

Temperament is like ball pythons... 99% of them are very docile and very reluctant to bite. Handling is not any different than any other docile, larger species. I handle mind every day, except for the 3 days after a meal.

    Here's a good caresheet: http://www.moonlightboas.com/care-in...care-sheet.php

But apparently it can be trouble to get hatchlings to start eating... so if you want everything to go smoothly, better to get a dum who is over 6 months old with consistent feeding response, I'd say! I'm sure others will chip in.
