Safety

I was wondering if you think my tub will be safe for my ball. I spray painted the top and 3 sides of the tub just on the out side. Hoping the enclosure will make my BP feel safer. She's been in a tank for almost a year but from reading on this forum I'm thinking a tub will be better for myself and the snake. Anyway the paints all dry just can smell the fumes a bit. I'm wondering if they will be bothersome to Bella.

"Probably" wouldn't hurt it, but if I were you, I'd let it sit outside for a day or so just to be sure.

Definitely wait until you cannot smell the fumes anymore and the paint fully cures. Paints can contain voc's and those can be harmful to your snake.

Absolutely agree with this. When I paint the backside of my aquariums I follow the time on the back. The directions on the paint can or spray paint states a time frame it takes to fully cure. Most common time frame for spray paint and can paint is 7 to 14 days. Id wait until that time is up to be safe.
