Question about lighting and UV
I know my BP needs 12 hours of light and 12 hours of night but for her to get her UV light I need to have it on at night, does this affect her day/night schedule ?
its a red UV light that I use.

A day/night cycle should be provided to allow them to properly regulate their behavior. However, this can be a simple as keeping them in a room with a window that lets in any natural light. Any other lighting is really only for the benefit of the keeper.
Ball pythons don't require UV light to synthesize vitamin D. Some keepers provide it in low levels for other reasons, but this is optional and really an important thing for new keepers to consider. Better to worry about making sure you have the proper temperature gradients, humidity, etc.
Re: Question about lighting and UV
I have 22 ball pythons at the moment, and the only lighting they're exposed to is the sunlight that enters the room.
