    Here's a pretty good article written last year on the subject of snake reproduction: Life is short, but snakes are long.

    Some of the answers you're looking for are in the 3rd paragraph down. I'm sure the entire article will be helpful though - enjoy!

    Google brings up a surprising amount of research on this, but I don't know if exactly how much sperm can be stored has been explored. Enough to get the job done (:

    That's really neat. I had no idea the female could choose which sperm she wants to use from multiple fathers.
