Re: Super Pastel or what?
I would personally have vanilla some where in the males genetics for this pairing. Super pastel does grant the minimum lowest possible odd of always being pastel for offspring, though there are many other options available than just super pastel, unless that is the route you are adamant on going. The morph market has a list of genetics and when selecting say vanilla will bring you a side variety of different animals carrying that specific gene alongside of many combos, with spider being involved stay away from champagne in whatever you may decide to go with. Good luck on your decision and hope you have fun lookin for a suitable male.

Re: Super Pastel or what?
Well from what we've researched, which hasn't been a lot, the super pastel male seems to give us good odds at the Bee stuff. We personally really like the Fire bee, killer bee fire, killer bee look and want to shoot for this look in hatchlings. That's why we picked the super pastel but also did think about adding some vanilla to get more possible surprises. Are we correct that the super pastel paired w our fire bee gives us best odds at bee type looking morphs?? Thanks again!

As long as there is spider and pastel present in either one of them you have odds of bee stuff. But remember that odds doesn't mean certainty. I had a YB to Normal pairing and ended up with 7 Normals and 1 YB. I did a YB to Enchi Hypo this year hoping for an Enchi YB het Hypo male. The first five to crawl to of the eggs were 3 YB hets and 2 Normal hets. The last one was still in the egg and hadn't given me much of a look so it appeared to be another Normal. I have to say I was a little disappointed until it crawled out. What do you know, an Enchi YB het Hypo and its male to boot. I was thrilled.
Still, from an Enchi Hypo I only hit one baby with the Enchi gene out of 6 eggs.
Look at what you like most beyond the possible bee combos. Now find a super pastel with the extra gene/s that will give you a chance achieve them. Remember a Hypo will only produce hets, not visuals. If you really like a Vanilla Cream or Vanilla Scream then go with Vanilla.
