ball python has not pooped since I've had him
I have had my ball python for about 9 or 10 weeks now. He has been a great eater and has eaten once a week however I am nervous to feed him again because he has not pooped in the time I have had him. He has gone through 1 shed since he has been with us. He is active and great to handle. I have tried the warm bath and all. Is this normal? How often do ball pythons poop?
    Thanks guys!

How big is it? What are you feeding it?
I wouldn't soak it unless you have stuck sheds, you may do more harm than good.

I just asked this same question earlier this week. I was worried, just like you. Here is what I was told... They'll poop when they need to. LOL. Young, growing snakes take in more of the food and have less waste, so it's not uncommon for them to not poop often. Some BP's may only poop around the time they shed. others may go several weeks, and others may be more regular and poop weekly.

Oddly enough, like a day after I posted this same question, I cleaned my tank and found a little poop inside a hide. I check the hides every day or two, so it hadn't been there long, but I felt better knowing she went a little. Hang in there. If Temps/humidity/feeding are good and the snake is moving and looking good, no worries. The bath may stress the snake, so I wouldn't try that too much... it may give you opposite results.

Many of mine won’t poop until after they shed. Shed then poop right after. You’re are popboly fine, if he goes another full shed cycle and does not poop hit the forum up for suggestions again.
