Picking pastels vs normal vs supers, esp in pieds?
How do you tell which babies are pastels when it comes to pieds? I've seen pastel pieds that I wouldn't have known were pastel in the 'classic' sense - blushing, faded head. Is it the lighter coloration where the pattern parts meet the white? Is it the shed? Do pastels shed clear?
Also, generally pastel vs super pastel - it's whichever ones have the most blushing and faded out heads that are the supers? I wasn't sure if there was a more definite way to tell them apart?
For instance, the girl in my avatar is pastel caramel, if the seller told me it was a super pastel caramel I would have believed it due to the amount of blushing. From what I can tell, it's the caramel playing a part as most I've seen were highly blushed.
I appreciate any thoughts or feedback on any of these points.
thanks!
:)

I was told that with the pastel pieds you should be able to pick out the" green eyes" typifying, the lighter yellowish / greenish blushing. Sometimes a bizarre patterning which is what the pied gene seems to do when coupled with other genes.

Its not always easy, even when you dont have pied thrown in. I hatched out this guy earlier in the year and it was about a 50/50 split of people saying pastel or super. Sold him as a pastel but theres a chance the buyer got a great deal if he ends up being a super.
