I'm really upset because my mouse just had her litter, and apparently ate them all! She was really fat the other day, and today she's skinny again, and not a pinky in sight!

This makes me extra mad since I have only one pinky in the freezer, and George, my sandboa, who hasn't eaten f/t yet, needs a live pinky! I have three female mice, but the other two I just got and won't be having a litter for awhile yet.

I know of no place to get live pinks, but I really need one for George!

George didn't eat last week.. he ate two weeks ago, but didn't eat again the two weeks before that. He NEEDS to eat. He is in shed now, but I think he's going to shed today, or tomorrow.

He's sick too.. I'm not sure what's wrong with him. I thought it was a RI, but he only shows signs sometimes, and my vet didn't think it was one. Either way, I need some food for him!

Aw, sorry to hear that. I wish I could send ya over a few pinks; I am overrun with them. But rats... not breeding as good as my mice are.
If she is not going to be a good breeder/mommy, I would feed her off and get a different female. I had one rat I got, and she at her babies, so I just fed her to Goblin and got smoe better females.

She normally is fine. My problem is I just got two new females. I think the addition of the new mousies was stressing her. Perhaps it was even them and not her that ate them..

I actually have to go buy frozen pinks today.. woe is me! I don't like buying them.. they just don't look so fresh as mine.

At least my female sandboa can eat a small rat pink, and my cali king can eat the one frozen mouse pink I have left. I have two new additions that I hope will take f/t without a hitch.. but that leaves poor George. I'll try giving him a frozen one..

Its prolly not an RI it is prolly just him getting ready to go into a shed. His skin is just too tight so he may make weird breathing nosies till he sheds...no worrys.
