I saw pictures of how to make a breeder rack some where but I can't seem to find the link or site. I am looking to breed rats and want to make a good rack or cage to breed them in! Please any advice will help!

How many rats are you looking to breed? There are a lot of good options out there besides racks if you are only breeding a small number.

Here's a link to Ralph Davis's journal where he describes how he builds his rat racks. I see them in action every week and the work great!

(hope it's ok to link to another site ???? :o )

Personally we're in the process of setting up a rather large rodent breeding setup
and all we're using are three drawer sterilite racks that we've bought from walmart, work awesome with some minor modification/water mounting
not as cost efficient as we'd like, but still cheaper than shellling out the chash for a freedom breeder rack

What kind of modifications are you making? My daughter suggested using that exact thing as a rodent rack (I have a spare sitting in the basement), but I figured that they could escape too easily and that the water mounting would be awkward, so I'd love to see/hear how you're working this out.

As would I. We just bought some tonight, and can't figure out a "good" way to mount the water bottles.

    Thanks!!

matt a dry ice machine is going to be your best bet for a reliable source of dry ice if you look around they can be had fairly cheap
