    Exciting times
Yeah, I know any dummy can put two snakes together and if everything goes right they will lock up. It's still exciting though thinking about the possibilities. I paired Tex earlier with a nice 1.0 Pied but never saw any locks. I put Grif with her earlier today as a backup when the rain started and just like that....0.1 Super Black Pastel and 1.0 Mojave Yellow Belly. Not Earth shattering, but a nice mix. Can wait to see if she takes. She's never been bred before.

Excellent! You know, that with it being this time of the year, maybe there's some "magic" in the air, maybe of the black variety. I love the dark bold pattern of a Black Magic!

Thanks guys, and yes some black magic would be nice! As these will be my first clutches in 20 years or so, I'll take any that I get and hope for healthy. He's locked with a Killerbee as well.

nice pairing : repeat the pairing every 4 weeks. this pairing is much better than the killerbee pairing : i hatch 2 black widows and they aged badly.

nice! sounds like Grif is a real stud.

there's also the possibility that that Tex and the Pied locked and u just didn't catch them in the act? let's hope for a little extra surprise. :)

There is that possibility. I'm hopeful of course. If there are any Black Pastels I'll be looking at them really hard for markers. Anything else would be sired by Grif of course.
