Gene x?

Anyone have any actual information on this? Saw JKR has a gene x /coral glow pied and the colors seem unreal. Is this a legit gene and is it found as a single morph so I can add into my collection and observe it's effects?

Looks promising but I'm skeptical.

Check out the pumpkin pieds he made with it a while back, they look like hypo pieds, its pretty neat.

So is this a gene that is unique to him or did he source it from somewhere else Google search shows somebody in Canada who was talking about a gene x as well

Gene X is very subtle on its own. I visited Justin's place back in October and he was kind enough to show me a single gene Gene X. I know it was something he spotted in his collection (I think it might have come in as s "dinker" from Aftica, but I can't remember what exactly Justin said about how it came into his collection). I don't know if he sold it to anyone yet, so I don't know if anyone else is working with Justin's Gene X. It makes some fantastic combinations, especially with Pied.

iirc the pumpkin pieds is when he proved it out, so he founded it, I do remember seeing some gene x combo for sale a few years ago. So I'm assuming a handful of people would be into the project now.

Such a bummer. Wonder what it costs to get in that gene. If it really pops colors like his site shows it's an amazing clean up gene.

GeneX is a gene that was brought in from a CH female. Very unique looking. Immediately I bred it into my YB Pieds and hatched hets that were exact copies of mom. Have been hatching some amazing Pieds from these animals ever since. This year being the most crazy ones yet!

Yes its an actual codom gene. It is identifiable both by itself and in combos. No its not directly connected to Pieds, that just the direction I took it early and I've not separated it since.

Will be doing a full write up on it soon with lots of pics! Yes I've sold a few GeneX het Pieds over the years, most before I had any idea what it could do. I don't know where these animals are now or if they are even being used currently. This year I've sold the first GeneX Het Pieds purposefully and yes I think the project is highly valuable!

Justin it s nice to have you posting here. you are often mention in the post related to Who should i buy my snake from? which breeder do you trust?. If you can post here more often it would be great specially about this X gene, leopard clowns projects and your black AX project.

I personnaly appreciate your journal which is full of advise for hobbist and small size breeder. Your point of view is fresh even on the ball business because hobbyist are tired of drama and complains of pessimist breeder that understand nothing but money and even didn t realized that ball python is a market like another and the "crash" was 100% predictable.
