    Het percentage
I am pretty new to all the ball python morphs, although, I have had normals all my life. Anyway, I decided to take the plunge into breeding, and am trying to learn the genetics sidea of it. Anyway, I just bought a pair of het clowns, and am not so sure they are 100% het, as he claimed. The father was a pastel clown, and mom was het clown. Like I said, I'm still learning, but since mom was norMal het clown, wouldn't that make them 66% and not 100%?

I appreciate any help you can offer. I am trying to learn absolutely everything there is to know about genetics and breeding, the confidence just isn't there yet.

If one of the parents are visual, then yes, your clowns are both 100% het.

Het clown x Het clown = 66% het clown
Visual clown x het clown = 100% het clown
Visual clown x visual clown = visual clown

I didn't mean to make sound as such... Everyone needs help with recessive genes when they first start. I know I sure did.

    ^^

    This

additionally Het Clown X Normal = 50% Het Clowns

In the future when you will be pairing your Hets your chances of producing a clown will be 25% per egg.
