    New baby boa!
    Hi everyone,

I have finally picked up my first baby boa!

    http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/11...ed912adbcd.jpg

I bought him from a breeder last night, he is a 2015 het leopard... The breeder said he is a Sonoran but I'm thinking he is maybe a hybrid considering the markings don't look like a Sonoran. I know hybrids can carry the leopard gene as well. What do you guys think? A hybrid?

    Very cute little baby!

The Leopard boa morph originated from Hans in Germany from Sonoran boas. It's been crossed into lots of other localities, so unless the breeder is keeping the line pure and can trace it back to those originals, it is likely to have been crossed somewhere down the line into other BCi localities. The markings themselves are not a dead give-away and the only way to really know is to trace the line back, which isn't always possible. I've seen BCis that could pass for BCc, localities that can pass for others, hog'g' mixes that look like true hog isle, etc, etc.
Congrats on the new pick up!

Thanks for the info! Ya I would assume it has been crossed with other BCI's of some sort, I'm sure pure breed Sonoran's have pretty extensive paper work.

    New baby boa!
He's so teeny! I forget how tiny dwarf babies are, I saw one at a pet store awhile back getting live for my stubborn bp and even my BRBs would have dwarfed it at 3 months old. Are 5 month old dwarves really still this small? Idk what I'd do with a baby so teeny. Haha
