ok so here is a question that could use a poll on
How many times do you all let your female lock before you stop putting males in with her?
I personaly let them go at it till she refuses no matter how many times she has locked just wondering if this is standerd practices

I usually try to get her locked twice a month with a male, some say more and some say only once a month, once she ovulates I stop.

It's not a matter of a set amount of locks it's a matter of the female being done. The amount of locks is variable.

If I see a lock I only pair once a month, if I don't see a lock or any positive signs I will pair twice in a month, I also pay close attention to the females behavior and pair during cold fronts, and rainy days.

They are stubborn sometimes, me myself would think that 1 would be enough just like any other species, but a female can "STORE" males fluids and use it when SHE wants to, is what i was told by this forum so i'm going to say as many times as SHE wants to, is my FINAL ANSWER lol...QUESTION on top of QUESTION, hope this is fine with the thread starter... Ok now i had 1 lock Oct 5th i've been introducing between my normal and pastel het pied, she took the normal again for a few hours, separated them and everytime i intro the pastel het pied to her they DON'T lock up at all :colbert: :colbert:<--- dikembe Mutombo voice lol, here's the question::What would cause her to reject..is she already going through the gravid phases and i don't know it or can't see it??
