    First Feed Bite.
I've been struck several times before, but never had a feed bite until last night. This female had been pretty docile lately, and I had forgotten why she's the only one that has "aggressive" marked on her tub. Took her out to spot clean, and the next thing I know she has me wrapped up. Took 20 minutes and some watered down vodka to get her off.

Here are some pics for your enjoyment. I thought at one point she broke or dislocated my knuckle because it made a different popping noise than I'm used to hearing, but other than a lot of swelling I'm good to go.

You didn't have Slipknot playing in the background did you ... I find they prefer Incubus :)

In saying all that my MBK ( Mexican Black Kingsnake ) ambushed me the other day when I was dropping in his mouse :)

Just a nip though, not as bad as yours ... hope the pain doesn't last too long bud !

Slipknot!!! The summers last stand tour was amazing. Motionless In White and Slipknot are two of my favorite bands so it was great to see both of them in one show. Anyway... lol
I got bit for the first time the other day, although it was completely my own fault. As I was lowering the rat into her enclosure, it began to slip from the tongs and my automatic reaction was to try and grab it with my other hand before it fell. Well, I was mistaken for her food. Quick movements + the smell of a rodent in the air is not a good combination! Lesson learned, just let the rat fall... :P

Yea I had a great time. I saw them in Dallas which was the last stop. Slipknot played 2 1/2 hours.

This bite was my fault too. She's usually pretty aggressive, but after she laid her eggs last year she calmed down a lot. I figured I could hold her while I spot cleaned, like I had all year, but I was wrong. She sorta just grabbed my hand and wrapped around it, no sudden movements, strikes or anything. I didn't know what was going on until it was too late.
