I respect Spiders more than any other bug (are they considered bugs even though they aren't insects?), but there's no way I could keep one-just creep my out too much. Kewl pix though!

'Bug' is a loose term, so yeah they're bugs.

I used to be respectful, but afraid of them, but one day at the store I work at, someone wanted to buy one of the rose hairs we had for sale. No one else would go near it, so I got it for him, it didn't try to kill me, and from then on, I was hooked. :)

Very nice pics, Shelby! Does yours ever take to dragging itself around by its fangs?

I think thats the creepiest thing about them (the fangs) if they didnt have them i would most certainly get one, without them they would actually be kinda cute,maybe even cuddly, who knows......

lol.. nope, he's never made to bite me. Soon as I open his house, he starts climbing out. He's actually pretty docile, though after his molt, he was a little nutters for awhile. I guess he felt good.

Ah.. the fangs are cool. I think I got a pretty good pic of them. Kinko just lets me pick 'him' up by his head section (carapace?) so I can look on the underside. Pretty cool.

You may be amazed at how soft they feel. I don't find his hairs to be itchy, so he can be 'petted' and it's very soft.
