Wireless Thermometer/Hydrometer

Can anyone recommend a wireless thermometer/hydrometer? I wanted to be able to take something with me from room to room with me, keep in in my bedroom or have it in the living room.

Any recommendation's?

There must be something, but nothing specific that I know of.

I try to keep the temp checks limited to no more than once every 15min. ;)

I'm paranoid about it :) Particularly the humidity.

Google is your best friend here. Some have a wireless chip in them so you can control it from your computer/phone, get updates, if it goes lower then picked, etc.

I have one of those for my tank. I love it. I got it on eBay and it was remanufactured by lacrosse. It's a really nice one with a color screen shows humidity and temperature. Paid 24 dollars after shipping.

I am not sure if there is a wireless hydrometer but your best bet for temperature would be a temp gun. Any temp gun will work just the same. The hydrometer you would have to purchase and leave it in the tank to get a reading. You can still move it though, it just isn't as convenient as a temp gun.

As long as the temps are controlled with a good thermostat, humidity wouldn't be much of a worry for me. NJ humidity should be normally ok. (Don't know what your winter heating situation is.)

Too much humidity is more of a problem than too low - too high can lead to a respiratory infection, which is much more difficult to fix than a bad shed. I would expect your readings to be fairly stable?? ...you have a good enclosure for keeping what you have in. Also, the snake itself can fix low humidity with a soak in the water bowl. humid hides stuffed with spagnum are good for when the snake is in shed, if needed.

This is the gold standard for use in tortoise enclosures. Im sure it would work just as well in most any reptile cage. Very accurate and durable, my baby sulcata has bulldozed it a few times, soaked it in water and it is still running strong.

Keep in mind temp guns are best used to monitor the temperature of physical objects in the enclosure, but can be misleading when taking ambient temps. Best to use a combination of a temp gun and a thermometer/hygrometer like I posted above for the most accurate readings.

Thanks - I found a few online. I'd like one that does three zones. 2 in the cage and 1 outside the cage. I don't have a problem per say with humidity. It stays pretty constant although put some water in every day just to keep levels at 50-55 on the hot side. The cool side stays at 71%.

I have the Accurite ones now, they are good, I just want a wireless setup. I also have a heat gun.
