    Rack System Update
Well it's finally coming together. This is the first unit put together. The top silver screws have been swapped out and counter sunk like the black ones on the front. The unit is 12mm PVC, CNC cut so it's an exact fit. I chose white to go with the trim in my office, but I can do black as well. The door is 1/4 inch acrylic laster cut for size, mounting and closures. I am going to swap out the silver hardware for black at some point. The latches can also be swapped out for locking units if I decide I need them. Also, you can't see them in this angle but there are vents on the sides and rear. Maybe I'll turn this into a little side business.

looks sweet! i like how the door sits flush. could we get pix of the vents?

it looks like your enclosure can give T8's a run for it's money.

Great craftsmanship! I like the white. How much would you say this single enclosure cost you to build? Also a bout how many man hours?

This is an external view of the side vent. There is one on each.

This is the view from the inside showing side and rear vents. The opposite corner is just like this one.

Thanks Jay. I can build them in black too, but the white goes better in what will be my snake room/office. Most of the man hours were in the designing. All of this was done with CAD. The PVC was cut and milled on a CNC machine and the door was cut with CNC controlled CO2 laser. Lots of math and measuring! I am thinking about selling these in the future so I am going to sit tight on actual costs. I am sure you understand. If you'd like more specifics feel free to PM me. I am trying to be very careful of the site's TOS since I am considering bringing these to market now.

Quick video of the cutting of the door with the CNC laser.

And a couple pics of the assembled 36 inch unit.

The door needs to be attached, but you get the idea. I know I'll have some very happy BPs shortly.
