    Water Bowl Placement
Hi guys - My humidity reading seemed to have stabilized. I am now controlling the hot side with spray a few times a day and keeping it around 50% - the cool side stays at 70%, that's where the water dish is. Monty seems happy enough. He was actually out last night basing on the branch I have in the tank. My question is though. Where should I locate the water bowl? Is it ok where it is? or should I center it? Setup to date pick below:

You shouldn't have to spray the T8. The humidity should stabilize by itself. If it drops a lot, that means the substrate itself is too dry. In regards to the water bowl, it doesn't matter where it is.

70% on one side and 50% on the other ok then? I'm just a little confused. its has been going down to 42% on the hot side? Should I spray some water into the substrate rather than just spraying the top?

As long as the humidity is around 45-50 in the whole terrarium that should be perfectly fine. Just raise it when your BP is in shed.

Yes, if you want to raise humidity, just dampen the substrate a bit and mix it around. Then let the humidity stabilize. If you need to raise it further, repeat the process.

    What substrate are you using?

i spray my substrate to give it a head start. then I mist and spray accordingly to humidity from there.
