    DeWorm during Quarantine?
With ReptiCon quickly approaching in Costa Mesa, I expect to add several snakes to my current collection. In preparation, I've collected a few items as preventative measures for the expected quarantine. (Products such as PAM and Reptile Spray to get rid of mites.) I was wondering if anyone routinely deworms new arrivals as part of their quarantine process and what products would be safest to use while still being effective against a wide range of parasites? I'm sure I've read in one thread or another someone who has/does deworm regularly, but the search brought back 500 hits so I apologize if this has been answered before.

As always, thanks for your time!

I have never heard of deworming a snake before. Although many do pretreat their animals with PAM

You'll want to look for info on Panacur and Flagyl.

Panacur (fenbendazole) is a wormer, flagyl (metronidazole) is an antibiotic and you may need a prescription for it. Many importers dose their wild-caught critters with them, as both are appetite stimulants, to encourage stressed critters to eat.

I wouldn't bother with either for a well-established CBB or LTC animal.
