    Scenting?
    I have heard that some people, when they first get their snakes, put in the enclosure an item of clothing that they have worn to get the snake used to their scent. Has anybody practised this? If so, how, and was it effective?

    That is something done with puppies.
    I have never heard anyone doing it with an animal that doesnt really bond.

    I have heard of it done but have never tried it. I don't think it's used as much for bonding as it is desensitization for a snake that's defensive.

    I feel like that wouldn't really help with snakes. I do put in a tshirt (and change it every day or two) because I found that she loves to burrow into anything fabric when I take her out. I put it in her warm corner and she almost never leaves... But again that almost certainly has nothing to do with scent
