when i hold my bp (usually about 4 times a week) he is always very active. he never stays still. Is this normal, or do you think he is scared and is trying to flee from me?
thanks

Yes, it's normal and I think he is scared and trying to flee from you! ... LOL
With time and regular handling, he will become more "tolerant" of your handling sessions. He just has to learn to trust you.

Hmm, so when I hold Pelota and she just sits there contently and doesn't move or explore that much, do you think that's a sign that she's at ease with me? She's been doing that more recently. Before she'd explore all over me. Maybe it's laziness. :P

hehe it could be a little of both, i know that when i first got min if much at put a finger at all near her head area she would rear back hide. Now i can do anything with her, i put her on my arm, she wraps aroudn my wrist(or neck, which ever she likes better that perticular time) and she just hangs out. she makes a very good necklace or bracelet. THe best is when i go to hug my family when they dont realize she is on my neck, then they freak out hehe.

My bp Chief is a big baby too. Thats how I got a friend of mine convinced to hold him. He is terrified of snakes and once I showed him how big of a baby he his and he realized that he wasn't going to attack him he gave in and held him. Granted it was only long enough to get a picture, the chief started slithering up his arm and he'd had enough. A big step for him though!!
