Just A Dark Normal?

I finally met my friend's adult male bp, and literally the first thing out of my mouth was he's really dark for a normal. She said everyone says that. I told her I would ask the experts ;). She got him from a local exotic pet store at a year or two old, and he's fiveish now. So his background is unclear. Here are a few pictures we took, some with flash some without. Sorry the pics aren't the best, it was in the middle of her birthday party.

Thanks guys, that's what I figured. Wish he was a she, bet that dark coloring would make nice axanthics.
