humid hide shy

    My bp "X" doesn't go inside his humid hide but instead he basks on top of it could it be too humid?

    -sphagnum moss was used in the hide

    I doubt it could be "Too humid", when my snakes are shedding i dont use humid hides, i just raise the humidity in the tank to about 80% and they are fine.

    It could just be your snake just didnt feel like being in his hide.

    Yes, it could be too wet for him. He's really not going to want to lay on a soaking wet substrate. Just mildly damp is fine and you could even put some dry moss over top of the wet stuff.
