900g female suddenly feeding aggressively!

Hi all,

Like the title says, I have a 900g female who last week started feed rather aggressively, I think it's safe to assume that she knows it's breeding season and she's trying to put as much weight on as possible, no matter what weight she gets to, I won't be thinking about pairing her until next season when it will be her 3rd winter.

Have you any females around that weight that have started feeding more?

What do you mean more? If you keep her on schedule why is she feeding more?

I mean feeding more aggressively, this female used to be quite tame when offering her food but now she's striking quite hard and pretty much wraps the tongs too

She is getting bigger, wrapping around tongs isn't unheard of. As she grows her strength and power will grow too. I don't think this has anything to do with breeding at all.

I've only experienced a fast occurring around that weight, not feeding more aggressively.
