Offering food during fasting?

It appears that my year and a half old ball python is doing the fasting thing since the end of September, since my temps and humidity are fine and nothing else has changed. He didn't do this last year, so I'm unsure-how often should I offer food? I'm assuming that I shouldn't just stop feeding completely, but I also don't want to waste rats every single week.

Waste rats? I take it you are feeding frozen?
Offer that one first and if he doesn't eat then offer to the other.

The other isn't up to small rats yet. That's why I asked for how frequently I should offer.

I offer my non-breeder males a feeder every two weeks.

Offer the same size of food that the other one is eating every 2 weeks, that way if he eats it, he's getting some food, if he doesn't eat it then it'll go to the other and not to waste

When mine goes on fast, I offer monthly for 2 months just to be certain.
