    Bugs Associated with Snakes?
Not sure if this is the right place to post.

We just moved into a new apartment within the last three months and after about a month of moving in we would notice these little cockroach-like bugs by the bathtub (the snake rack is right outside the bathroom). I would find 2-3 in one night, and then after killing them I wouldn't see any for two or three weeks. So basically I've come across them on four different occasions. First I noticed them upstairs by the bathtub, but tonight I found three downstairs by our other snake rack, which made me think maybe they're attracted to the snakes. I've never found one in a snakes tub before, though and I've never seen them at our old place.

Anyone seen these bugs associated with your reptiles?

It's possible they were here before we moved in. We live in Texas and there's huge roaches crawling around everywhere outside. These guys are so tiny compared to them, I just don't want a preventable infestation getting out of hand. We've never had to deal with bugs or mites before and I'm trying to narrow down where they could be coming from.

I can't see any wings on them, so I don't think they're cockroach.

That is a cockroach nymph. Roaches do not get wings until adulthood.

Thanks, makes sense. They're everywhere in Houston...ick. Weird that we've never seen them at our old place, which was VERY prone to roaches sneaking in, but at this place we never find adult roaches in the house. The one time I found an adult in here it got away and was eviscerated 30 minutes later by the cat...

Hahaha, you're lucky. I dunno, they just creep me out when you see them skittering across the room. I'm originally from Wisconsin so I was horrified when I discovered the monster roaches down here in Houston.

I live 16 miles inland from the Oregon Coast , what wr have are horrible Fleas very important to protect your fur babies, Now a days I have hard wood floors all the carpet is gone it was near impossible to keep up with the fleas, we have some beautiful Throw Rugs if need be they can be picked up and easy clean out side.
