I am a Sci-Fi nerd, so of course I saw the trailer. I am really looking forward to this movie. I think it is going to blow away the last three Star Wars movies.

True, but then again, that wouldn't be difficult to do. :sigh2:

Haha, that is sad but true. The trailer looked good, I am excited to see what the new cast can do.

I did, and on the note of blowing away the last three(first three chronologically). I remember when the previews for Ep. 1 started coming out. I actually commented many times through that trilogy that they were just so dumbed down and so clearly aimed at children, it made them much less enjoyable, like Disney had made them rather than LucasArts. How wrong I was, it actually looks like Disney can make a truly great Star Wars flick.

    1) We had a jurassic park movie
    2) A Bush and a Clinton are running for president.
    3) THE BLUE JAYS ARE IN THE PLAYOFFS
    4) a new star wars trailer came out.....

    What year is it??

    But seriously...where is Skywalker?

Which Skywalker? ;) Luke will be in it, not all that much though. In the trailers, you can see him with his robotic hand reach up to R2D2, kneeling with a full hood on.

    ***possible spoilers***

This movie especially is going to focus around the next generation of the skywalkers, both from luke and leia. This has always been the case, and it's most likely that Rey, the female main character is a daughter of one or the other, though the name has not been a part of cannon to date as a name for any of their children, it's possibly an alias as is well known to happen in Star Wars.

I'm soooooo, so excited for the new trailer. It took me a while to be ok with Lucasfilm and Disney retconning all the expanded universe stuff. Because really? I was not a fan of a few plot twists in the EU.

There's a sith with saber guards built into the main blade. There are two fresh leads, some of our old favorites and the chance for a whole new Star Wars, free from George Lucas' mess ups. I was a kid when Episode 1 came out, and watched the next two multiple times in the theaters. I liked those three just fine, although as an adult I do have some arguments with them and understand everyone else's arguments.

This new trailer makes this feel like our generations Star Wars. It's shiny, it's new and the geek in me is screaming for crazed joy with each new tidbit to come out. I'm so buying tickets in advance and going on the opening night if I can.
