New addition: Quorra, my second BP!
So I've only had my first BP for a few weeks now, but he has rekindled a long lost love of herps that I used to have when I was younger. After doing lots of research and looking at pictures of different morphs, I absolutely fell in love with the Coral Glow/Banana morph and knew I'd end up with one. I happened to find a good local breeder (Boa Republic) who had a 2 month old female Coral Glow for sale at a reasonable price (compared to some of what I've been seeing). That's how I came home with Quorra!

She is extremely curious and docile, especially compared to my Mojave male who is still a bit of an aggressive youngster (though he is a voracious eater). Quorra on the other hand hardly flinches when she sees a human and instantly wants to crawl up on you and explore. Since both are wee babies (Munch the Mojave is 100g, Quorra is 91g), I'll be ordering an animal plastics T8 with divider for them to share for the time being. One day I hope to breed them together and make some beautiful babies.

Wednesday is her eating day, so hopefully she will eat for me. I won't be touching her until then. She is quite stunning, though I wasn't quite able to capture her color with my iPhone. I think a proper camera and lighting are required to get good shots of her, however I tried my best to snap a few pics:

The last one kinda shows how bright her colors are. I am quite happy with my pair of BPs and can't wait to watch them grow up.

Thanks for all the kind words everyone! She is an absolute sweetie and I can't wait until tomorrow to see if she will eat for me. She is much more docile than my older male and likes just tangling up in my hand and hanging out there. In fact, that's why I put the egg carton in there and I'll see her wrapped around it in all sorts of fashions every night. Once out of his cage, my Mojave just likes to move so my hands are just a treadmill for him for the time being.

I ended up paying $480 for her. A bit more than I intended, but once I saw her it was too late. Coral Glows are coming down in price it seems, but with the whole male maker thing and already having a male Mojave, I wanted to get one I could breed eventually. I imagine little Mojave Coral Glows one day (I know...years away).

Here's a shot of her current habitat. I plan on ordering my T8 soon as I really like them being more visible than being in a tub. I also keep eyeing racks, though I know I'd have to fill it up if I did that. I added a second make-shift hide for her to see if she needed it, but I haven't seen her anywhere except in the warm rock hide when I've checked.

She's thinking "You call that a hide???"

"Did you put my real hide down here?"

It was a good day! Quorra ate for me for the first time. She very efficiently took care of a hopper mouse and then snuggled up under her warm rock after I put her back (I pulled her out to feed in a tub just in case anything went wrong). My friend's underweight 2 month old normal named Wombat (poor little guy only weighs 66 grams still) also managed to scarf down a hopper. Lastly my little buddy Munch finished off the fuzzy mouse we tried to feed Wombat last week, which he killed, but wouldn't eat. Munch didn't need another meal since that was his fifth rodent in the last 20 days so he's far from starving. He's starting to become my rodent garbage disposal whenever there's leftovers. I am clearly balls out crazy at this point and it's taking everything I have to resist buying more. Holding some beautiful BELs today at my local shop didn't help!
