Can sepsis be cured from my vet ?

Just brushing up on my medical info and learnd of this desice what is it exactly

Sepsis is a negative immune reaction to a systemic infection. It absolutely required antibiotics if that's the case, as it can cause severe organ and tissue damage. Even with treatment you can't always save them. When my snake's tail was dying, the vet offered antibiotics but it was progressing so rapidly that I elected for amputation. Dead/dying tissue can release toxins into the blood stream as well.

This photo shows how much of her tail was compromised by the blood clot in a 12 hours span. That is also a possibility for your snake. Infection, blood clot, abscess, tumor, blockage, and any number of other potential causes. Don't settle just on sepsis right away.

Like you were told in your other thread: "Vet ASAP".

Continuing to wait increases the likelihood that the vet won't be able to help your snake, and it probably increases the cost if they can. If that was my snake I'd be looking for an on-call emergency service (wouldn't have waited three days with a prolapse either...). You need to get that snake to the vet as soon as you possibly can; tell them it's an emergency and you're willing to wait or drop the snake off before work or whatever it takes to get him seen as soon as possible.

log-off the internet, get your snake to a vet or get one on the phone ASAP. the longer you wait, the greater the risks. :mad:

I did already they aren't open till Monday I have to drive a hour to get to them but its worth it

Best wishes for your snake. In all honesty, it doesn't look good. If it can be treated, it's probably going to take an extended course of antibiotics and possibly even surgery.

In the future, if anything that looks like it should be inside the snake is on the outside of the snake for more than an hour or so, just assume it isn't going to fix itself and head straight to the vet. A good rule is to imagine it's happening to you: Are you thinking 'wait it out' or 'go to the ER'?
