I'm new to the forum...My two Ball Pythons
Here are my two BP's. "Rommel" is my Desert Mojave. He was supposed to be my one and only. Then...I got weak and found a healthy Blue Eye'd Lucy. I call her "The Fraulein":)

They are both very lovely snakes! Really nice pictures you got of them too.

I would caution using those dial style thermometers that I see in the one tank. They sell "temp guns" that are a laser thermometer device that are super accurate and not very costly. You'll find yourself using it for all sorts of things too.

Welcome to BP.net! I hope we get to see many more pictures in the future!

    Thanks!
    Thanks Theresa!

I never, in a million years, saw myself as an owner of animals like these. But a coworker got me interested (she had a normal).

By the time I started doing some research, I discovered all of the morphs out there and was fascinated. So, after doing my geeky research for a while, I went to a local reptile center that had been recommended to me and purchased Rommel as a baby. I made a few mistakes at first, but with the support I receive from the owner of the reptile center, I have learned a lot since then.

Rommel is quite docile, and a little head shy. He wolfs down medium (live) rats weekly. The Fraulein is eating (live) hoppers weekly and is also a good eater.

Ever since I saw a Blue Eye's Lucy I was fascinated by the morph. IF I acquire another, it will definitely be a Pied. I LOVE that pattern as well. I have had Rommel a little over a year and I seem to enjoy BP's as pets. Very low maintenance compared to other exotic pets, and great conversation pieces. I have had friends bring their kids over just to watch them feed.

Anyway, than you for the welcome to the forum. I was told that the dials are not the most accurate things in the world, so I might try your suggestion.

    Thanks again.

Man I don't know which one I like more :D your snakes are beautiful I really like the mojo though :)

Also a quick word of caution, I'd be very wary about the skull decoration you have in with the mojo. Those eye holes look kinda small and he may be able to slither through them now but when he gets bigger he may get stuck trying to go through. Snakes are not the smartest and don't know if they will get stuck or not when going through holes. I had my ball python get stuck in a hide rock with a hole at the top. I had the break the hide off him to get it off and he still to this day has a scar from that incident. So I alway warn people about decorations or hides with holes in them so the same doesn't happen to others.

Word of caution over lol sorry for that long story. Thanks so much for sharing your beauties with us :D
