Shredded Aspen or Sani Chips? Difference?

Someone please explain x.x and also I'd love to know what is easier to use and is a preferred method

When people refers to Aspen they usually refers to shredded aspen with is aspen that can be found finely shredded or in bigger flakes.

Aspen Sani chips are just that tiny hard chips of Aspen.

I use both Shredded for BP and Sany Chips for Colubrids.
