Switching boa to F/T
I just received my Nicaraguan on the 8th from TSK. They'd been feeding him live mice, but I'm hoping to get him on F/T if I can. Should I feed him live a few times and THEN try F/T, or just go ahead and try F/T to start with? I figured I'd wait until at least the 15th to try and feed him. He's a little over 150 grams if it makes a difference.

Go ahead and try f/t. Most boas will take it no problem. Boas usually do not harbor all the feeding issues and problems that ball pythons do. My boas will all take literally anything furry that is hanging off of a forceps.

I was actually surprised how easy it was to change over to F/T. None of my snakes refused.

Yes,
Very, very few boa constrictors will display feeding issues. Stress or illness are probably the two biggest factors for refusals, and on occasion, you may find rabbits a conversion problem, but that is getting beyond the point of the post.
If you have any problems with F/T, wait a little longer than usual, and try again.
You may find your boa likes quail as an option too. Once you move into the F/T rats, switch it up and then back again.
Just be patient and remember not to overfeed. The growth will happen!!

My lovely adult Snow Boa is a dustbin !
He gets any left over mice / rats as a bonus .
