They are temporary display cases, the glasses are just a different way to display the animal compared to the typical flat style.
NARBC is one of the biggest shows of the year and a lot of sales take place :-)

It really depends on the vendors. Some vendors will bring more animals with and keep them to the side replacing the display cases when a animal sells. Other vendors will replace sold animals with the obvious "Sold" on the top or business card in replace of the empty slot.

People have been trying to say the market is dying or dead since 07-08, it isn't dead nor dying. I wish that thought of the hobby would die. The people who do it for money and not for the love and to further the hobby will always fall flat and their market will die. The ones who take it seriously and have a genuine love of Ball Pythons will always be successful. :gj:
