    Reptile Basics order
    Anyone else have recent issues when ordering from Reptile Basics?
    I was under the impression they were a good company to work with.

    I ordered two UTH UltraTherm mats, and a ProExotics Temp gun.
    I received only one mat, and what very much appears to be a USED temp gun!

    Upon calling, we get an answering machine directing us to an email address that is different than the invoice e-mail address.
    The invoice address is "undeliverable." How hard is it to send out an invoice with the correct e-mail address??

    Not a good experience so far!

    inquiry@reptilebasics.com ... This should be a good email for contacting. They've quickly replied to this when I just wanted to add a couple items to my order that I forgot after I've already placed the order. I've never tried calling them before. :s

    That's unfortunate that they sent you a used temp gun though! Based on my experience and most others' experiences that I've read, they'll fix the problem. Stroke of bad luck, I guess. :(

    Relieved to get confirmation that they are legit. With an order just pennies shy of $60, I don't want to think I lost everything but one $14 heat mat!
    They didn't have a PayPal option, so they also have my CC#. I dislike giving that out.

    The "Inquiry@..." is the address that was sent back to me from AOL as "undeliverable." The answering machine instructs callers to direct e-mail to "Sales@...", which does work. I just think they should keep their letter heads up to date. Attention to detail.

    Normally I wouldn't post a bad experience about a business until they've had a chance to correct the problem, but two problems fulfilling one order, and a hassle with contacting them - kind of triggers my Three Strikes Any You're Out rule.

    I'll post again when it gets resolved.
    I'm not out to trash RB, but geez...

    Rich is a stand up guy and Reptiles Basics is a top notch company. I have no idea what happened to your order... really surprised as that doesn't sound like them at all... but I have no doubt that he'll take care of it asap.

    I just recently ordered an Iris sweaterbox rack w/belly heat, ve-100 thermostat and 4 tub dividers from them and didn't have a single problem to report. Sorry to hear that dude.

    Ordered once from them and had no issues and got everything on the order. Sorry to hear your issue, hope it gets resolved.

    I've ordered from Reptile Basics at least 20 times with getting heat tape, hides, cleaning supplies etc... I have never had an issue with them and in my book they are top notch.

    You may have gotten an answering machine because its a weekend and no one is there. When I had one issue with payment a few years back ( I transposed the numbers on my card) I called and got in touch with a real person within minutes.

    They are also vendoring here at Tinley, I spoke with them today. Maybe that's why you haven't gotten a good response yet.

    I have ordered plenty of hides cleaning supplies and heat tape from them and also have not had a problem. In fact I got a call from them about a potential problem before it became one. Top notch company and they have everything you might need for Herps.
