    How to temp house a rescue
    I call it a rescue but it was a friend of mines its a normal hatchling. He left state today. Didnt give me a cage or supplies. Wow what a deal. Now I can get supplies in the morning before work in my storage however, what should I do for the night out him/her in with my 21" female or put her in a 10 and cover it with plexiglass not sure what I

    It's probably too late to be of use but WalMart is usually open 24 hours so you can pick up a small latch box (they're more secure than tubs) if you don't have an appropriate enclosure.

    Otherwise, paper towel substrate, small water dish, and a cardboard box can be cut down to make a small hide.

    I also have a few spare UTH's and t-stats for contingencies.

    Someone tell me if I'm wrong but a new snake should not be housed with a snake you already own. Keep the hatchling in quarantine if you haven't already put them together.

    Exactly. A new snake from anyone or anywhere should be quarantined for minimum six months just in case something's going on with it that doesn't become apparent right away. That means separate cages, hopefully in separate rooms, with hand washings before handling the other snake and washing tongs, etc, before using them with the other snake.
