    Updates on this pastry...
Cake quickly outgrew his 15qt, and moved into this decorated 66qt a few weeks ago! I snapped some photos just tonight.

Cake seems to also enjoy pretending he's arboreal... He climbed on the manzanita driftwood himself, so I picked it up and snapped some photos. He may appear skilled, but he just as easily loses his grip and falls. U_U (He's slid/nearly fallen off my arm or the chair multiple times...)

(the below photo was flipped to look nicer. In reality, his head was upside down.)

He's a good looking boy. Got a nice new place too, lucky guy.

He's stunning! His eyes look like gemstones in that last photo.

Thanks! I honestly am a firm believer that the woods and different textures/climbing areas provide healthy stimulation for the reptiles. I don't think the hanging leaves make much of a difference to ball pythons specifically, but it's nice to look at. :P

I know they are terrestrial rather than arboreal, but I'd have to agree with you there on climbing materials. One of the first things Manasa inspected when she got her new tank were the fake vines I hung up in it :)

Mostly I just use the plants as cover/clutter for Manasa, though one of my baby corn's favourite hiding spots so far is curled up deep in one of her plants :P

Yeah! They're not arboreal, but they can still safely climb and inspect objects 5" off the ground. And same, my snakes also inspect everything in a new setup.

That's adorable! I kind of wish Cake would hide in the plants... :P

Thanks! You mean for a camera? I use a Nikon D7000 for these with a 50mm F/1.4 lens. Pricey.. But totally worthwhile for portrait shots and pet photography.

That's awesome. Those pictures are so crisp, it really captures the beauty of your baby (:
