    Newest Z Combos
Just had a clutch of Citrus Pastel Lesser Platinum Z x Black Pastel hatch this morning. Can't wait to see these little ones shed and start eating.

I did a write up about it on my website, www.PacificCoastReptiles.com, under "Projects". It's a gene I've been working on for a while now. It's co-dominant, but I'm still working on exploring the genetics and seeing what it does in combinations with other morphs. The coolest thing it's made so far is the Super Z Lesser:

I've haven't done much breeding Black Pastel into other morphs yet. Does anyone have any opinions as to whether I've made a Pewter Z, or does anyone see Lesser in that one neat looking baby?

    Thanks

    That Lesser Z is smoking!!
    Thank you by the way.
Wish more people would take the time you did there.
Yours is not subtle either but there are so many claimed "new" genes with out much explanation other than look at it LoL

Your first step in proving a new incomplete dominant gene should be to isolate the super form alone. I'm not seeing enough here to warrant a claim. Looks like a cool variation of a lesser cinnamon/black pastel. I can name you about a dozen breeders claiming new genes that have skipped to the last step first, which is naming it and announcing it. I hope you prove me wrong.

I'm pretty confident that the Lesser Super Z is just that because I've made Lesser Zs, Zs, Pastel Zs, and Lesser Pastel Zs from that same pairing. This is my third season making them and Zs have been made from two different sons with different females. I may find that some of the Zs from original Z to son that look really extreme may end up being Super Zs, but I want to grow them up and breed them before I make that claim. I'm not releasing any until I have a much better idea of what is going on here so this is just my fun project.
