What table scraps are good?
Been saving alot more table scraps for extra rat feed/treats lately and was wondering what scraps you all give to them...I have been giving them bread the leftover corn cobs and the occasional Dubai roach(only because they go crazy for them)...so what can I all save to give to them?.I know they can and will eat just about anything but was is good for them? Thanks

My rats get turkey and chicken bones (they'll eat the meat and the bones), cornbread, bred, mash potatoes, cooked rice, cooked pastas, hard boiled eggs (shell and all), misc fruit and veggies etc, they make great garbage disposal for left overs the only thing I avoid are fatty food and citrus.

Same here. I'll give them pretty much anything except for citrus. Fruit rinds, fruit that has gone "off", pasta(cooked or dry), veggies, poultry leftovers including bones... I'll even throw in beef or pork leftovers and bread that has a touch of moldy spots.
My colony also eats mazuri rodent diet, but they're great for food scraps too.

Thanks my main source is lab block and just the few scraps I have been giving has cut how much block they eat alot so this will help alot in the long run.not to mention less wasted food. Thanks again

I feed extra meat and meat trim/fat scraps, poultry bones/meat/carcases, bread, veggies, pastas, cereal, fruit.
Just stay away from citrus and avacado.

Mine mainly get veggie scraps when I cook veggies.. Before I cook them, when I'm chopping / cleaning, I'll save scraps like the ends of carrots, ends of lettuce, stems from kale / collards, etc. I'd just avoid anything with lots of salt or sugar.
