How long does it take for your BP to warm up to you?
My 1 month old BP usually takes about 5 minutes of sitting in my lap before she starts moving around. Today, she only took about 10 seconds then she seemed comfortable as ever!!:D
Generally speaking, how long does it take for your BP to get comfortable and start adventuring once you start handling them?

Ever since the first time I picked my BP up he has loved being held. Sometimes when he is sleeping I will take his hide off, pick him up and place him in my lap. As soon as I say "hi baby, good morning," he really wakes up and starts searching for my arms to curl up on. :) I have a habit of going into his room at night while he's exploring and giving him a kiss through the glass. Now he tries to give me kisses all the time. The first time my girlfriend saw him headed toward my face she started freaking out thinking he was gonna eat my face off or something.... Nope, he just gave me a kiss and crawled onto my shoulders haha.

I was in the camp that reptiles never really "enjoyed' interaction with us humans but simply adapted to tolerate being handled and held. I don't know so much anymore. Having my snakes in my den that I spend a lot of time in I watch and observe them a lot and have come to think they are a heck of a lot more intelligent than most give them credit for. My grandson had a bearded dragon I truly believe loved to interact with people. He had a very distinct personality I was just amazed with. Walter my BP is starting to show a bit of that as well. He has always been pretty shy and timid, never hissed or struck but sometimes he'll come out of his hide while I'm watching tv or something and just sit in his cage and look at me like he wants me to get him out. I do and he seems to enjoy it.
