What do you do when...

Hey everyone, this question is to anyone who keeps their snakes on newspaper,

what do you do when the female you want to pair is laying under the newspaper? Just put the male in there and they will do their thing? Wait for the female to come from under the paper and then introduce the male or put her on top the paper and wait a little and the place in the male?

I realise this might be a strange/dumb question but this is going to be my first season and want to do all I can to make it go as smooth as I can.

I think the answer is gonna be to just introduce the male and they will do their thing (of they are ready for it/want to)

Put the male in. He will find her.

I personally introduce at night time, when it is dark so usually the female is already roaming around. I would guess otherwise just stick the male in. I also give most of my snakes hides so they very rarely go under the paper.
