Have you ever owned ball pythons before? Do you know anything on how to care for them?

No, i have not previously had one but everyone has to have there first right? I have done lots of homework though and have what i think is a great habitat. i dont want to just breed them. I want them to be a pet and will definitely be handling them often and threating them very well

My advice is get an hatchling female, raise her up (this will be your first hands on experience), and while raising her up do some research.

Breeding involves a lot more than buying a cheap pair of animals and my guess is that you are not prepared and have not ask yourself the right questions yet.

Remember you have to learn to walk before you can run.

Crawl first. Get bit several times then decide what road you want to go down.
You will nee more than ONE habitat for starters.:gj::gj:

If you really think that you may attempt to breed in the future once you have some hands on experience, than start with a female, they take longer to mature 2 to 3 years.

When she reaches 18 months you will know by than if you still want to pursue that or not and if you do it will be the perfect time to pick up a male.
