Need opinions on male

Hi all.

So I'm in need of just some opinions. I've currently been putting a couple deposits down on some new snakes.
I've currently added a banana spider male, pastel pied female, and a SuperFly female. Now because im just starting out, I don't want to go out and buy dozens of snakes right of the bat, I want to progress slowly and not overwhelm myself. However, I have my eye on two other males, a clown male and a firefly calico male. I'm tempted to get one other male, I just can't decide if I should or not and which one would be the better choice.

I want to work with recessives, hence the pied female (hoping for banana piebalds down the road) and I'd love to work with the clown male to eventually get some nice variations of clown morphs. However, the firefly calico is just so nice to look at and you can't go wrong with a 3 gene male.

So my question is this, are the 3 I mentioned that I already have enough to get me started with my breeding plan or should I add one more male? And if so, which one? The females are both very young, so nothing will be happening for at least 2 years I figure.

I would hold off on buying any more mails. In a few years when the female is ready to go, there might be a new morph that you want to add and won't have room for. This stuff changes so much from year to year, I would not buy any makes until my females were about a year away from going.

Honestly if your females are young I would not recommend buying any male right now, I would recommend to wait a year and at that time you will probably be able to pickup more genes for the same amount of money.

You also have very few females which would also lead me to say not to get another male until you have a few more females.

I have to agree with the rest, worry more on getting your females breeder sized and maybe even pick up another one or two.
If you wanted to shell out the cash for a clown, get a girl if you can afford her, they are a bit pricey but you cant go wrong with a recessive female

I concur. You are better off having an army of females and a few powerhouse males, however, wait on the males until your girls are ready to rock-n-roll. You never know what kind of smoking deal you might get on a multi-gene male that is cutting edge down the road. Worth saving your cash or perhaps buying some more females instead of males. Just my two cents worth.

Agree with advice. Get those females up to breeding size.

Breeder or larger adult males are always dropping in price. So when those females are ready you can get a lot more bang for you buck buying a male to pair with them down the road than you can right now.

I decided against getting the male, I can wait a little while before getting another male.
My plan was to breed banana spider x pastel pied and hold back a hatchling to breed back to the pastel pied female and hopefully get some banana pied hatchlings
And than anything from the banana spider x SuperFly pair will just be great, in my opinion.
I'll probably pick up another couple girls down the road, trying to get morphs I really like and want to work with.
