So my ATB enclosure is being set up now and I am at a crossroads. I use Eco Earth of my wife's Crested Geckos, and it's great for the humidity. Is that a good choice for the ATB too? Coco husk better? The snake will be in an Exo Terra tall enclosure with plenty of vines and branches with appropriate lighting and heat. Thermostat, digital temp and humidity gages are there too. I am also putting in an automatic mister. As the ATB is taking the place of my BPs in the office, I am also thinking about a live plant or two in there as well. The snake is young and trained to take food from tongs so I am not worried about him striking at the ground and getting gunk in his mouth. Thoughts?

For the record, I went with Eco Earth. Felix comes home Wednesday.

Sorry I didn't have anything to add as either substrate would probably work just fine. I keep my ATBs on unprinted newspapaper.
Congrats on the new one coming in, I hope you will share some photos :)

Same here. I use newspaper. It doesn't look great, however, it is typically free, easy to change, and plentiful.

Yeah I could have gone that route, but this is more of a display in my office since my BPs are moving out into their own rack system. I had a to have a scale friend and just wanted it to look nice. I'll post pics at some point. He's in the middle of a very bad shed where he is now. Once I get that cleaned up I'll snap a few. For the record, he's pretty cool as far as ATBs go. Nippy for sure, but I've handled him a couple of times without getting tagged. I'm sure it'll happen though. It's an ATB after all.
