Re: Bleeding after pooping
How much blood are we talking about? Is she actively shedding? A small amount of blood is normal during shedding and should go away fairly quickly.

Exactly. If it was a rather large amount of blood then it is vet time.

I would keep an eye on her and maybe switch her over to paper towels to monitor the bleeding. Try to give her smaller prey as well until such time that you are not seeing any blood. Does she have any other signs or symptoms that seem abnormal?
Re: Bleeding after pooping
I've had this happen to a 6 month old female bp after the petstore employee told me to feed her adult mice. And while at her size a normal ball her size should've been able to eat one without a problem, the other employees informed me that they were still feeding her baby mice after she bled when I fed her an adult. At this point I was pretty concerned but the vet said she looked just fine. This was in February. I've just now gotten her to accept an adult mouse after months of feeding her hoppers and adjusting her meals accordingly to make sure she was gaining enough weight to be healthy.
It could be that your baby is straining their cloaca (the vent) after eating a large meal. It could also be that she chipped a spur and now it's bleeding. Good luck and best wishes, I hope you can get the issue resolved.

Re: Bleeding after pooping
is this the same BP that has bloody missing scales from your other thread? this one - http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showt...ales-should-be
if so, there seems to be a few things wrong with your snake. if it were me, i would take it to a vet if the issues remain post-shed.
