    The female side of breeding?
I know with males, you leave them with a single female from 3-5 days unless a lock is witness, then you give him 3-5 days off. But what about the female? How often do you breed a female in a month. If I have one male and one female, do I only introduce that male to that female once a month or three days a week? How often should a female see a single male in one month?

I try and breed my females once a month. If I'm not seeing locks I may introduce a male every couple weeks but once I see a lock she's good for a month.

Sounds good, thank you. Also, what time of the day do you usually see locks? I have had my male in with my female for 2 days now and they both don't even seem interested. Female and male are both proven breeders. I know I shouldn't expect much at this stage but it never hurts to know.

I check them first thing in the morning. Sometimes I'll check at night but I rarely do that anymore since any that I caught breeding at night were still locked in the am.

Sometimes they breed as soon as you put them together while others can take months to get going.
