    Artic mice
I haven't been able to get up to my local expo and pick up any f/t rats for my BP so picked up some of these from petsmart. My snake seems to turn his nose up at them. I got him to eat one a while back but this Saturday evening he smelled all around it but refused it. Ive never had him refuse ones from the local guy I get them from but they are also multi-colored were these ones from artic mice are solid white.
Grabbed a couple from petco that are gourment rodent brand and will try one of them this Saturday. Anyone else had a snake that preferred or refused rodents of certain brands?

I'm reffering more to something about this brand didn't appeal to him more smell wise. Maybe as well even though maybe they don't see colors surely they could still see lighter or darker shades anyway. But in this case I'd bet money it just didn't smell right for him as he smelled it all over for a very good while. The white rat looked to me that maybe it's fur had some urine in it as it was slightly yellow in spots. The rats I normally get from K-zoo expo always look totally prestine and healthy.

It was more towards 0420 post. It not abnormal for snakes to skip a meal now and then...my best eating female refused last night for the first time in a long time. Just give it a week and go from there

Take in more knowledge....your joking right....your taking Info for getting a picky python to eat and the picture is a boa(first red flag)did you read that horrible care sheet...that is so wrong its not even funny. Why on earth would I take a hatchling that wont eat to the vet?????? And you dont need to have a separate feeding container or a paper bag like they say to feed a snake...it is way more stress to move a snake to a different environment just to feed...cage aggression is a myth....just a few of the horrible false fact. so before you say I need more knowledge and post a garbage care sheet for me to read I suggest you actually read up on it...I have been keeping snakes for over 15 years and read more books and good care Information from reliable sources than you could ever imagine....so go back and do some real research for reliable source not from a page telling you how to get a python to eat that has a picture of a boa.
