    Best substrates for holding up humidity?
    I'm using aspen right now, and it holds absolutely no moisture.

    I prefer cypress mulch. It holds humidity well without the substrate staying too wet. Eco earth holds in too much water for my liking.

    Normally I use aspen mulch but switched to aspen shavings mixed with coconut fiber.
