As long as its smeared I think its normal. Most times it comes from the female during intense tail wagging prior to actual copulation and intromission. The blood smears are usually accompanied by urine and the female scent gland secretions. Due to a highly arousal state in the presence of the male. :D

Haven't seen this mentioned before. Good to know. Maybe it should be added to a breeding sticky.

I was worried the first time I saw it too. I watched the next time I put my female with a male and actually watched her scenting and tail wagging and saw that's where it came from. It's normal and alright as long as it's just a smear.

Lol my Mohave female does the same thing. I was worried at the begging but just thought it was a part of the breeding. Looks like I was right!
